The American Dream?

I got this email from USAFIS the other day about why the U.S. is the best country to live in.
"Here are some of the advantages that the USA has to offer:
  1. Best education system in the world.
  2. World's strongest and fastest growing economy.
  3. World's most advanced constitutional rights."
I sure had some prominent problems in covering my joy and surprise. If this organization claims these facts, they have to be true, right?

Let's get the facts straight anyway. According to recent study, and not to stand out as someone who absolutely adores his home country (which usually is the deal when a Finn claims that something Finnish is among the best in the world) the best education system is actually found in Finland.

Regarding the economy, USA might have the biggest version of it, but that doesn't make it at all the strongest or fastest growing. Have you followed the news at all lately? Big countries like China and India are surely growing faster than the US, but according to Economy Watch Qatar is the fastest growing economy and Africa will be the continent of growth between 2012-2020.

Then let's have a look at the "world's most advanced constitutional rights". As you might know I stayed in LA this summer and I had to document the country where you can live "the American Dream". Restrictions? You bet.

Life made easy, no space for independent thinking or adapting. Nice! In-joy!
