Go West, It's a Sin

I was listening to Pet Shop Boys the other day and couldn't ignore the fact that these boys knows a scary lot of the Northern European ways and habits. A phenomena, which is most probably influenced by their track Go West which reflects the urgent need of Russians to get to Finland, the Finns to get to Sweden, the Swedes to get to Denmark or Norway and the Norwegians to fish and extract oil.

Let me focus on the second "go west" partition of Finns going to Sweden and pull out the next song from this endless sleeve of mine; It's a Sin. Oh yes, I'm talking about the Finnish booze tourism and especially the wonderful cruise ship that brings these Finns over every single day to this city of prudes and beholders of prejudice towards drunk Finns. I love it. I love to walk around town in Stockholm on Sunday mornings when Ilpo and Jorma and their drunk wives yell at each other and the kids look confused. Wonderful!

Even more wonderful is that Pet Shop Boys was (until something went wrong) the favorite band of Dick, my beloved twin brother. People say that each one of us human beings are unique in this world to which i respond; WRONG. Me? I'm a limited edition.

The absolutely most fabulous thing about last weekend was that Dick, Tom, Johannes, Pille, Jacke, Jack, Hannu and Emil came and proved the Go West theory right as well as It's a Sin theory all at once. See, they didn't go to Russia. Swedes really doesn't go to Finland. Norwegians prefer their mountains and oil. Lastly, the boat is always a sin.

Oh boy, was it a fun weekend of feeling hung over and sea sick. Way to go boys. I still want to hear how it all went down, if Johannes got lucky on the third time and if the world is still rocking for you boys back home in Finland; in the country of happiness and joy. So joyful that only Stockholm sees the hung over, crippled booze tourists. It's simply such a horrible town, no Finn can enjoy it sober. You should see us in Tallinn, Estonia.

In-joy the material!
